Our 2012 Summer Vacation!

Here's Jude and the map of our flight to Victoria on his TV.
When we gave Jude the middle name Martin, I had no idea how much he would resemble his Papa Martin! Instead of watching Treehouse, like the rest of his generation, he watched the map channel. He was VERY excited to fly to Victoria, and almost as equally excited to ride in the taxi to the airport.

I was just as excited to meet Troy!

Our first adventure was to visit Sidney and collect some beach glass.

Just a bit of the "haul".

Running down the Sidney pier.

Touring baby Troy around Sidney harbour. Jude is a great big cousin :)

Me and my boys.

Hanging out before our fish n' chips lunch.

Riding the range with Uncle Simon. This was a favourite activity of the boys that were on solid foods.

"Hi Papa Martin, look at us on your old lawnmower".

Here's Troy waving "hi". Dressed and ready to go for our next adventure, Island View beach.

A little windy and chilly, so it was more of a hoody and garden shovel kind of day.

Mom in one of the driftwood forts built on the beach.

Auntie Shari and Jude, the official "craft wars" team for all our finds from the beach.

They made "beach in a glass".

Here's Jude babysitting Troy. Bringing him all his favourite stuffies and blankie.

Next adventure we were off to the water park to cool off.

Then we went to the fish market to pick up some crab for supper.
(He assured us it was a quick and painless death.)

Good looking boys and crabs.

Delicious!!
(Jude had chicken, since he's a chicken about eating seafood.)

Next adventure, a sandy beach!!
Time for sandcastles.

Auntie Shari's castle.

Jude's..ahem...castle? It was really just a leaf flag, rather large drawbridge and a big hole.

Mom's castle. I guess sandcastle building isn't hereditary :)

Here's Jude helping Auntie Shari make hummingbird food for the feeder.

Then it was time to head downtown to see some dinosaurs, buskers, and eat some more fish n' chips :)

A super sunny and fun day with my muffin.

T-Rex 3-D glasses from the Dino-store at the dinosaur exhibit.

Then off to Blue Fish, Red Fish for lunch. This is a VERY popular place to have lunch, and the line is really, really long. But Uncle Simon braved the line, while Jude and I watched sea planes and boats in the harbour.

Well worth the wait!
Fish'n chips are the closest thing to seafood that Jude will eat.

Back in Troy's room, just getting him all settled in his new upstairs nursery.

Morning cuddles.

Truly Canadian.

Can't get enough of snuggling these two ;)

FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

Thank you Auntie Shari, Uncle Simon and Troy for showing us such a great time in Victoria.
