Jude and I colour a lot. Jude loves to draw from what he sees around him. We were at the doctor's office yesterday and there was a picture of a woman's back and her spine, and he was persistent that we had to go home and draw that, making sure it was the exact same blue colour (yes, it was blue, not sure why? Even more unsure why he felt this image was so interesting, but thankful he didn't pick some other images in there, if you get my drift.) Good thing we have invested in the 50 pip squeaks, so that the exact blue colour was possible.
This story does eventually relate to the title, just hold on. We were at the doctor because Jude has been suffering with runny poop (I really dislike the word diarrhea) for over a week and had a persistent cough. The doctor thinks it's just a rotovirus, but to be sure it's not a parasite, etc. we had to get a "specimen". (This is where you realize how much you love your child and what you will do to make sure they are healthy.) After a big day of colouring it was tubby time, and I suggested that Jude perhaps try to give me a "specimen" beforehand. So he pulls down his pants and all my dread to turns to laughter as I see he has coloured all over his penis!
I never thought I would have to tell my kid not to colour on his penis, but I did. I'm so thankful the pip squeaks are washable :)
