Gramma Annie and Papa Martin came for a visit this weekend!
They brought lots of goodies, new pajama pants that glow in the dark, some "back to school" money from Papa (this is a tradition that goes back to his father, my grandfather, who always had the crispest bills to hand out before school!), and lots of laughs. Jude never falls asleep as fast as he does when he has spent a day with Gramma Annie and Papa Martin :)
One of the many activities included flying the kite that Auntie Patty gave him at Easter.
Growing up in Taber, where the winds border on hurricane, I was never able to successfully get a kite to fly. We tried everything, and thought we were "jinxed", thus have steered clear of kites. But, this weekend we decided to tempt fate....and Papa Martin successfully got the kite to fly!
The curse is over.
Thanks Gramma and Papa for a great visit, and the Taber corn!
The Taber corn has loosened Jude's first "wiggly" tooth. I anticipate less than 3 days and the tooth fairy is going to have to google maps our address :)
Wow, it's all happening so fast...school and losing baby teeth!!
