Here's Pablo and his balloon pinata.
All the kids in front of the pinata.
"Now let's get these balloons out already."
And what's a Thomas the Train party without a Thomas cupcake train.
I think it tasted as good as it looked.
A little teeter-tooter action with Sophie.
Happy Birthday Pablo, we had lots of fun celebrating your big day!
It's hard to believe that we're almost out of July weekends. The summer is really flying by. Jude has his allergy appointment this Friday at the Children's Hospital, so it will be interesting to see if his allergies are getting better (fingers-crossed). He has been taking singulair every day as well as a nasal spray and I think it has really been helping him be "less itchy". We saw an ear, nose and throat specialist about putting tubes in his ears, and since his ears look really good right now we're going to wait and see how things go. The doctor said that he could get Jude in right away if he started having repetitive infections, so there was no rush to do it now.
Otherwise Jude is one imaginative little boy, with so many great stories and interpretations of everyday life. I keep meaning to start writing them all down, but here's a couple I can remember...the other day we're in the backyard playing a little baseball. Jude is actually very good at being able to bat the ball when I pitch it to him, and so he decided that he'd like to try pitching. I, on the other hand, am hopeless at most sports - baseball included, and kept missing the ball. Jude sighs very heavily, takes the bat from my hand and says, "Mom, maybe when you grow-up you'll be better at the batting part." I guess I have something to look forward to as I get older!
Then as we were driving home from school he saw a bunch of golfers lined up at a driving range and Jude pipes up from the back seat, "Look Mommy, a horsey race!" I guess when a bunch of people are all lined up it can only mean they are about to have a horsey race.
Enjoy July before it's gone.
