I found out that making cookies with Jude is like playing with edible playdough. (I guess it doesn't help that his playdough is the same colour since he insists on mixing all the colours together.)

Here is Jude in mommy's optimistic phase, his shirt sleeves are rolled up and seems eager to get making those cookies.

Here's where mommy's confidence begins to dwindle...what does it say about your cookie dough when your child can run his fingernails down it and leave marks??

Jude decides to give the rolling pin a try. You'll notice the shirt sleeves are down, and full of flour..I tried.

Let's try a snowflake.

The rolling pin is so overrated, why not just smush the dough with a spatula! Mommy's confidence level was now at "let's just get the cookies in the oven, and hope someone eats them if there's enough icing on them."

Jude continued to sculpt the cookies while mommy cleaned up the mess.
Good thing making gingerbread is like childbirth, you forget the pain as soon as it's over. So there's hope Jude that we'll get to do this again next year.

Ahhh, those cookies look pretty yummy to me. Jude, you could bake for me anytime. Miss you and love you lots. "7" more sleeps til Santa comes! Merry Christmas my little guy.
Love,
Auntie Angie
