Happy Halloween!

We celebrated Halloween a little early around our house with a Halloween playdate. Jude and I made spooky cookies for our friends to decorate and more importantly eat!

Jude's costume this year is "Super Jude". You would think every little boy would love to dress up as his own superhero, apparently Jude's not every little boy.

Most likely the idea of getting lots of treats on the big day will prompt him to put on his costume. These photos took a lot of chocolate chips and a few tears.

Helping mommy in the kitchen took those tears away.

Jude loves measuring out ingredients, pouring in the liquids, generally making a huge mess.

The best part is still licking off that beater.

Here are the cookies, all ready for our friends to arrive.

After all the naps were done, the cutest ladybug came to visit. This is Sophie, but Jude just kept referring to her as "hey ladybug".

And she brought along her younger sister, Lauren, the cuddliest mouse out there.

Jude and Sophie decorated the pumpkin cookies.

Let's just say they tasted better than they looked :)

Here they are discussing the tasty cookies.

I have to say kids look really great in black, who knew?

I think everyone should celebrate Halloween for more than one day, it's pretty fun. Look out for Super Jude on Saturday.

And one final note, yes, black icing does give you a purplish tongue.
