Blue shoes are ok after Labour Day.

Nothing goes better with blue monster jammies than mommy's blue shoes.

Surprisingly it has been warm enough here for open-toed shoes. It feels more like summer now that it did all summer.

Jude likes the shoes, but he still prefers good ol' bare feet. (This is Jude photographing his own feet.)

School is still going well for Jude. He told me the other day that he had fun sweeping at school. To which I replied, "you can practice that at home as much as you'd like". They have a practical skills section at school where they set the table, clean-up, sweep etc. I wonder if they can incorporate "how to give mommy a foot massage" into that section?

Jude also LOVES to listen to the same song, "Life is a Highway" (sung by small children) over and over in the car ride to school. I have now negotiated down to listening to it twice, I think the CD is going to get "broken" soon. There is not enough coffee on the planet to make that tolerable so early in the morning on Deerfoot Trail.

So here's to open-toed shoes in September and the possibility that Jude could help me clean up messes instead of just make them. (Now how do I get that song out of my head?)
