Things are heating up here.

The dude may look cool, but it's hot stuff in Calgary. A nice change after all the rain.

The peas and carrots are really growing.

And the sunflower has surpassed the dog.

I'm also happy to report that potty training has been going well. We are not without some accidents but we're well on our way to saying good bye to diapers. Jude really enjoys wearing his new big boy underpants. We talk about how you can't pee or poop on Speed or Curious George (his favourite pairs of underwear) as they will be sad. So the other afternoon we're outside and I'm watering the plants, when all of a sudden Jude says, "Speed sad." I looked over to see a very sad Jude and a big puddle of pee on the ground, and a presumably sad Speed. At least the accidents are entertaining.

Hope you're enjoying lots of summer fun too.

I had to laugh at the sunflower, how can such a skinny stem stand up so straight, very determined sunflower, nature is so miraculous, is that a flower I see on the pea plant? I wonder if Jude will taste the peas and carrots?....wishing you lots of sunny days to finish off the "garden"!
