Jude's Big 3rd Birthday Bash.

Happy Birthday Jude! Jude made it to the big 3. There were lots of family, friends, food, games, rain (thank goodness for the garage) yummy cake and of course plenty of cool presents for the dude to mark the day.

Gramma Annie did such an excellent job of the Speed cake that it was a shame to eat it.

Goodie bags. There are about 13 drivers with new personalized license plates out there under the age of 5, so watch out!

Here the boys are picking out which piece of the cake they want to eat. You could tell by the colour of their tongues afterward whether they picked the black tires or the red car pieces :)

Jude and Theo getting the best spots to blow out the candles. (Yes, I know there are more than 3 candles on the cake, but with so many kids 3 candles wouldn't have been as much fun.)

After cake it was time to dig into all those presents. Jude thanks everyone that sent cards and brought presents, he'll be busy all summer playing with them. He's such a lucky little boy.

Just goes to show that rain or shine, 3rd birthdays can be a pretty fun time.

Another pretty fun time was Jude's new Kawasaki Ninja bike. I don't think that smile came off his face until he fell asleep.

Look out Evergreen here comes Jude!

What a great day we had. Thanks again to everyone for making a little boy's 3rd birthday so special. I wanted to take a picture of his t-shirt at the end of the party, as it really told the tale of a great time. There were bits of food, cake, tire treads, and mystery stains everywhere. But nothing could compare to the big smile on his face to have family and friends over for his birthday. When I asked him a few weeks ago what he wanted for his birthday he said, "a friend". I think Jude got what he asked for and a whole lot more.

Enjoy your year of being 3 Jude. Love mom.

Happy birthday Jude - thanks for having us at your party. And sorry that Leo drove over you with your new motorcycle. Good thing your Mommy has bleach to get the tire treads out. ;) LH
