Here's how we spent Saturday, out in the backyard burning up whatever was in the firepit and making banana boats. What are banana boats you ask? I'm not sure where this recipe came from, but the Machacek's cooked them up whenever we had firepits. You simply take a banana, slice into it from top to bottom, but not all the way through the skin. Then load it up with chocolate and marshmallows, wrap in foil and then place on the firepit until all heated up! A tasty treat that even Jude could enjoy.
It's cloudy and rainy here today. The only bonus is that Jude slept in until 9:30am! (I woke him up then, as I couldn't sleep thinking something was wrong.)

Heh Jude...cool vest...I think Grandma and PaPa have to learn how the game of football is played..because we think we have a football player in the making...that boy is built like a "brick wall"...banana boats came from 4H,glad someone has a memory....happy backyarding...oxoxoGrandma
