Linus.

Jude has never really dragged his blankie around before, but lately he's decided he kind of likes having it around. It's handy for cleaning up spills, or as landing pad when you just need to put your head down for a while. Blankies are pretty interchangeable, sometimes whatever is in the laundry basket becomes a blankie, or perhaps the dishtowel. Oh well, at least we don't have to worry about not finding his blankie, as anything seems to do.

We're having a fun weekend. Jason had poker night with the boys last night as Jude and I headed out for a playdate. This morning Jude and I went to Gymboree. He wasn't thrilled with Gymboree...it was a class of 10 - 16 month olds, and it was mostly younger kids as Jude was the only one walking. Thus there was no one to really run around after him, so he could have cared less about them blowing bubbles and singing songs. (I'm somewhat relieved as I was not thrilled with singing the songs, I swear my voice can break windows.)

Tonight Jason and I are off to a friend's house for dinner, and Gramma and Papa Lemoine are coming over to look after the dude. It will be nice to have dinner without cleaning up the highchair afterwards.

Here's hoping you are all enjoying your weekends, and perhaps even cuddling up in a blankie of your own. I don't recommend the dishtowel.

reminds me of the time Tyler drug his blankie out in the dirt. To clean it up he just cut the dirt out. Now I ask myself ... where did a kid get scissors? ... he was about three or four.... but still !!!!!
Oh the joys of parenthood.... we all survive (sometimes just barely)...
keep smiling and dragging Jude.
