Well I'm sure you've all been wondering how little Jude has been doing. He is doing great! He has so much fun with his nanny that I'm sure he's a little disappointed when mom turns on Treehouse and folds the laundry and empties the dishwasher instead of playing in the tent. I think he must be comfortable with his nanny, Evangeline, as he eats and naps really well for her. Thank goodness! I'm so grateful to have Evangeline, it has made going back to work so much easier.
In other Jude news, he has discovered opening and closing cupboard doors and drawers. This has made for some tears, as fingers are routinely getting smashed in this discovery phase. He says "mum" quite frequently and has been known to blurt out a "papa" here and there. Sorry Jason, no "dada" yet. He hasn't made any steps on his own, but loves running behind his car. He continues to be one happy guy.
(Oh, and you might have noticed the tattoo on his leg that is rubbing off, we were at a pirate themed birthday party and Jude got a tattoo of barbed wire around his leg.)
Have a happy week.

see... things do work out... maybe even better than originally. Lucky Evangeline. Makes going to work so much easier....would be hard to be creative if you are constantly worrying about Jude.
Carry on and thanks for the update.
Love the tattoo.... Nikki got one on her foot (a ying yan) years ago and told her father it was only a six week one...um 14 years later she still has it!!!!!! good for a laugh now (not particuliary then)!

I am so glad to hear everything worked out for you guys. I can remember like it was yesterday, preparing to go back to work after Karissa was born and how my heart ached for her when I was away. After knowing she was in good hands, I felt much better leaving her. Lucky for you, you get to see Jude every night after work - I had 4-6 day stretches between seeing my little punky again. I don't miss those airline days at all. Hard to believe she will be 8 years old in July! How time flies. Enjoy being with adults again Carolyn and welcome back to the work force!
