So many people, so little time.

Jude and I just got back from our travels south to Taber and Medicine Hat. We had a great time playing, eating, napping, and laughing. We even managed to miss the BIG snowstorm in Calgary. Here are a few photos from the trip.

Here's Jude and his cousin Laura, the "next day birthday girl". I'll explain that last bit, Laura and her big brother Kyle are only born a day apart (and 3 years). We went to Medicine Hat to help Kyle celebrate his birthday, while we were there Kyle's other grandparents phoned to wish him a Happy Birthday, and then Kyle hung the phone up. Laura said, "don't they want to talk to the next day birthday person?". I loved that! (Her grandparents were going to visit Laura on her birthday, so that's why they didn't talk to her.)

Here's Birthday Boy Kyle. It was crazy hair day at school, he doesn't normally sport an orange mohawk. Jude loved to try and touch it. Kyle turned the big 12.

Here's Gramma Annie playing kitchen with Jude. I'm not sure what they made with a banana, ketchup and the vodka, but I'm sure it was yummy. That is the same wooden table and chairs we all played on as kids. I can't believe it survived us dragging it around everywhere.

Jude is trying to walk more and more. Papa Martin was kept busy helping him check everything out.

Here's Jude eating pretzels with his friend, Judy. Jude had fun showing Judy how he can put fingerprints on everything and touch anything his height. Her house is now prepared for grandchildren.

We celebrated Father's Day really early because Papa's present was some buffalo steaks. Jude enjoyed them as well, he loves his meat. He's having watermelon in the picture so that's why his face looks so funny.

After eating all that buffalo and watermelon, Jude was a mess. So Gramma showed me how she used to get us all cleaned-up, and over the sink Jude went.

Then it was time to get all dried off.

This is Jude and the dog, General. Jude would stand at the patio doors and wait for the dog to play with him, but as you can see he wasn't always as interested in Jude.

It's amazing how fast Jude is growing up. He has another tooth, he waves "bye-bye", he points to things he wants, and best of all he said his first word, and it's Mum!

Enjoy your weekends.
