Auntie Angie and Jude (10 months old). Jude sends lots of goobery kisses and hugs to Auntie Angie. Jason and I were talking this morning that Jude has officially been on the outside as long as he was on the inside. He's over double his birth weight and almost 10" taller!
He's turning into a real little boy, this one. Yesterday morning I had to rescue him 3 times from hand injuries. The first time it was because he was slamming his car hood down on his own hand. Then he got his hand caught in the cardboard put up to stop him from pushing the buttons on the satellite receiver. The last time he didn't cry, probably because he thought he had cried too many times in one morning, and it was the time I would have expected the most tears. I went into the living room to see him sitting next to the fresh air return (like a big heat register) and he was patting his hand all over the carpet making nice patterns with his bloody fingers. Yes, I said bloody fingers. Apparently he had been running his fingers over the sharp edges of the air return. You know it's a bad day when you're on the internet looking up how to get rid of blood stains out of carpet. Not to mention there's no way you can put a band-aid on baby fingers!
Let's hope today has less incidents, and more smiles than tears.
