Hard to believe my little muffin is 6!!
We celebrated a little early this year so that all our friends could attend. But it was very close to his original due date of June 23rd...so I guess you could say we were celebrating "Happy Due Date Day".
Jude wanted a Star Wars theme for his birthday this year.
A big thanks to Gramma Annie for making the coolest Jedi robe ever! The birthday outfit was topped off with a "Vader on a bicycle" t-shirt and pool-noodle lightsaber.
Here are the rest of the lightsabers.
The kids had a great time playing "freeze lightsaber tag" and then basically just bonking each other over the head with them.
Speaking of "bonking" here's the death star piñata, complete with green pipe cleaner lasers.
This is Pablo in full piñata action! He DESTROYED the death star. We all joked it is because his family is Mexican, so it's in his blood this piñata stuff :)
R2D2 and 2 beautiful Princess Leias, Sophie and Lauren.
And Yoda (Allison) with young grasshopper Isla.
Another version of Yoda...I simply adore these masks I printed out for the kids.
Luke Lemoinewalker
R2D2
C3P0
Darth Vader
Stormtrooper
OK...now back to the party...
There was LEGO Bingo.
Shoot Vader.
They all successfully passed Jedi training, and Jedi Master Jude handed out their Jedi Training Certificates.
Then it was time to blow out those candles and have come cupcakes and Star Wars cookies.
The dark side characters were chocolate sugar cookies, and the good guys were vanilla.
Trying to get everyone in the shot...always tricky!
Jude and I are so very lucky to have such great friends to celebrate with,
it wouldn't have been a party without them!!!
Bubble Wand Lightsabers....
And a little bit of "loot" to thank everyone for coming to the party.
I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or me preparing all this stuff for the party :)
The smile on my Jedi Judi's face made it all worth it.
Happy 6th Birthday Muffin. You have an exciting year ahead of you, starting Grade 1 at a new school, making new friends and learning all sorts of new and wonderful things.
Looking forward to every moment!!!

Wonderful party, I have a 5 celebration for a 5 year old coming soon. Would you be so kind to share where you got all the graphics and material for you kid?
Thanks in advance.
