Family Fun

Jude and I traveled to Gramma Annie and Papa Martin's house for the family day long weekend.

Here's Jude with a "puff" in front of the pussy willow tree. Hard to believe it's February with all the warm weather and lack of snow....even the pussy willow tree is confused at what season it is.

Papa planted a pussy willow branch for Jude to take home. I thought it looked a bit like coconuts on a palm tree with those two "puffs" on it.

There was also lots of Lego action. Here's Jude and the Toy Story trash compactor that he built with Papa. Papa said he hardly had to help at all, Jude followed the instructions and only made a couple of little mistakes. Gramma and mommy snuck off to go shopping while the boys built Lego, so everyone had fun!

Gramma didn't get out of playing Lego by going shopping.

Gramma is getting really good at feigning interest in Lego. Good thing she is getting lots of practice, since Auntie Shari and Uncle Simon found out they are having a boy!!!

Jude likes to sew too, Gramma has influenced him to like some of her hobbies. 

They made matching pyjamas for monkey and teddy. 

Jude is alternately trying to influence Gramma and Papa to get a kitty cat. Not sure where his cat love has come from, as I'm allergic to cats, but he wants a kitty really bad. So we went to visit gramma and papa's neighbour who has a big kitty cat, appropriately named Sumo.

Gramma broke down and said that in the spring time they will consider getting a kitty. 

Jude can't wait!
