Our Shediac Summer Vacation

Fun, fun, fun.

Jude and I had the best summer vacation. From the moment we stepped onto the plane until the moment we landed back in Calgary there were adventures, laughter, and plenty of special memories.

Where should I start...how about the plane rides?

Jude loved flying, and kept himself busy on the plane drawing Super Mario characters. Thankfully, he tuckered out as well, and slept for a good portion of the flights. He loved being up in the clouds, and was wondering where all the people in heaven were...I wasn't really sure how to answer that one, since I was the one who told him that people go up to the clouds when they go to heaven!

When we landed there were plenty of playmates for Jude. Becky and her girls, Sophie (3.5 years old) and Lauren (2 years). Aimee's family, Kate (2 years) and Elliott (11 months). They all played together, but there seemed to be more of a special bond between Sophie and Jude. They were like an old married couple, doing everything together and bickering
only once and a while :)

Here they are...Sophie borrowed my hat one day, and I have to admit it looked much better on her! The lovely garden behind them is part of the backyard of the
"ladybug" cottage that we rented.

We spent our days playing on the beach, roasting marshmallows, walking on the wharf, getting caught in the rain, swinging on the backyard swing, playing with the cat that followed us home, eating lobsters (well the adults anyway), and enjoying every bit of watching
our children run amuck.

Take a look.

A few of the lobsters in Shediac.

Most of the above lobsters must be dipped in dairy-free margarine rather than butter, but are yummy nonetheless.

I hope you are all enjoying some summer fun. Jude's school schedule was in my email inbox
when I returned, so it appears summer will not last forever.

Now back to the laundry.
