Gramma Annie...and a snake.
Yes, we went from boredom last week to lots of fun this week. Gramma arrived on Saturday, just in time for Jude to return from his holidays in Winnipeg. Notice his great tan!
She brought some Taber corn with her and put Jude to work husking it.
Then they played a bit of Scrabble. You'll notice Jude's words (Mario, Luigi, Jude, Poop).
He claims he won.
Then we were off to Heritage Park to hang out with Jude's other favourite ladies,
Sophie and Lauren.
Jude was fishing for a prize. Auntie Patty, you'll be happy to know this is how he spent some of the birthday cash that you sent him.
Sophie had to win her own prize, Jude hasn't quite figured out how to be a gentleman yet!
But they both picked the same red "Mario" dog :)
Time for a cotton candy break after all that hard work.
Not sure why he's posing like this?? I liked the poppies behind him.
Then, it was time for Papa Martin to come and retrieve Gramma from Jude's clutches.
Jude crafted this light saber for himself...
And this one for Papa...I don't think he anticipated...
Papa's very long arms :)
So much fun! It really did make up for that extremely long and boring last week.
I will keep you updated on that snake in the first photo, it is supposed to grow to over 5'. It started out at about 8", so it has been fun watching it grow in the pool. I think the neighbours have a few questions :)
Hope you're all enjoying this heat wave and the last bits of summer!
